Welcome to the association of the nurses who strive for a tobacco-free society.
We are a part of the whole
”The Swedish Nurses against Tobacco” is a part of the umbrella organization” Professional Associations against Tobacco” in Sweden. Other professional networks are ”Doctors against Tobacco”, ”Psychologists against Tobacco”, ”Dental Care against Tobacco” and ”Teachers against Tobacco”.
Together we aim to create awareness, influence the attitudes on the tobacco issue and support local, regional and national tobacco prevention efforts.
We develop information, education and materials and participate in the national and international gatherings on tobacco.
The objectives of the association are to help nurses to:
· have knowledge of national and international guidelines for reducing tobacco use.
· be able to support people for a tobacco-free choice.
· protect children's right to a tobacco-free life start and upbringing.
· support the national decision to phase out the daily tobacco smoking, so-called ”Tobacco Endgame”.
